Absolute Connection Haiku

if you felt my ‘self’
you would feel your ‘self’ balance
yet we live self-less

until you show depth
surface can only be seen
and depth imagined

What’s ‘if’?

March 22, 2021 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

martyrdom is more idea,
than tragedy
sacrifice is more expression,
than finality
resurrection is more common,
than supernatural
reincarnation is more culmination of the three-
and let it be so,
then the cycle repeats

‘I’slands of Way

March 20, 2021 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

I have twelve ‘I’slands
when in balance,
there are six ‘I’slands of order
all work in accordance to my higher state of self
maintaining perfect harmony within me

when imbalanced,
there is six ‘I’slands of chaos
all work in accordance to my lower state of self
creating disillusionment

often when one ‘I’sland is in dysfunction,
the rest suffer
because all work as a system one
imbalance is compared to volcanic eruptions within myself
however I can normally shift energy and evacuate
to better compensate for the overflow of lava and the plumes of ash clouds
before the eruption takes its toll,
creating devastating damage

but when I can’t-

there is a domino effect within my higher ‘I’slands,
and as they begin to fall from a lack of balance
then my lower “I’slands seize the moment for dominance
catapulting me from depth and discernment
to shallowness and desperation

My higher ‘I’slands are-
Independence
Intention
Intellect
Intuition
Imagination
and Intimacy.

My lower ‘I’slands are
Instability
Inconsistency
Insecurity
Impurity
Insufficiency
Impulsivity

My spirit is powered by my higher islands
and my flesh is catered to by my lower islands
the cradle of my emotions and disposition
rely on the strong pillars of my ‘I’slands

patience breaks to instant gratification
gratitude permissions selfishness
contentment braces for desires
peace trembles to chaos
love quakes to fears
light shudders to darkness

all these ‘I’slands work as one
but sometimes there is a separation
and correspondence is lost
so the collective suffers
because the one,
is equally as important as the whole
and there is not one
that stands above the other
so like London bridges,
if ‘ONE’ falls
we ‘ALL’ fall down

right now, ‘I’ suffer from a lack of intimacy
although not completely lost
so I’m still holding up just enough…
for now
but I’ve felt the warning signs,
bubbling up from below
impending chaos, like all illusions I suppose,
is just a matter of time

Law of Correspondence

March 19, 2021 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

your heaven
is my earth
your hell
is my dirt
as above, so below
the sky is but a reflection-
just so you know
and space also-
for that matter
so to combust and big bang your reality-
I’ll split your atom
then the great veil and illusion you believe and live in-
will shatter!
and at your feet will be shards-
reflecting images of the earth
but what may mystify you most
is how did everything become reversed??
