Sun, Moon Me

September 1, 2021 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

the sun stimulates
the moon manipulates
the sun creates
the moon innovates

the sun generates
the moon venerates
the sun indicates
the moon demonstrates

then I contemplate both energies,
then meditate
integrate
then disseminate

Middle Grounded Me

September 1, 2021 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

I’m over the top
because I feel under booted foot
positive thoughts, think top shelf
reality hits, feeling underground
get over it, all!
pulled back down by things beneath me
you wouldn’t understand
you’re too busy standing over me
judgments holding me down
it’s harder each time to rise back up
so I’m done tripping,
falling over you!
I’m taking a strong stand,
on the up and up
centering myself

I won’t give another tear
to another year
living with another fear

Inhuman Differences

September 1, 2021 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

allow us to be
human
not hued-man
the mix messages
which switch with colors
are confusing
the numbers
used to presume identity
isn’t human-ly
it’s humiliating
while the expectation
set for us
to consume these indignities
and indecencies
with humility
isn’t humorous
it’s inhumane
and shouldn’t be
in humans
whom diverse themselves as
hued-man
hue is just a relative truth
it is just a point of light-reflected view, man
it is not a human’s
absolute truth
but I guess
being split by races
someone has to get to the finish line first
just to discover
there was no race at all
it was just a walk
one of observation
and evolution
but life passes fast
when you pass it fast
”and all that energy wasted”
says the tortoise
oh well, better luck next life

Let

I still can learn a lesson
in loving without attachment
accepting and letting be
what is, without imposing my will
observing without judgment
and listening
while being, still

Care Package

September 1, 2021 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

I’m not careless
I just care less
of things and people
I once cared for
that could care less
that I cared at all
