Sound of God, or Love

May 5, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

first language was silent
utterances decrypted by observance
responses absorbed in contemplation
and answers born from discernment
but we were given voices
that it may not be left to our lonely,
desperate and worldly imaginations
fathoming the many sounds of “God”

or,
if you prefer it,
“Love”

and who is it
whom seamless fairs
in deciphering message
from messenger
by foreign rituals of
observance,
contemplation,
discernment?

as One,
begets the Other
whether heard
or deafened

either way, nature
and your voice
sound just like “God”

or,
if you prefer it,
Love!

Talking to Me

May 3, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

knowledge seeks company
understanding has its dark alleys
and wisdom is all but alone

I slow seeking belief of others
it is blind company
I nurture my own sight

they may not conceive my visions
consumed by their own perceptions

be resolved in your own experiences
as it is mind which perceives
and heart that conceives
experience is temporally, inclusive
in that consciously, it is exclusive

if belief presumes
then, believing creates
not all will believe like you
and you may appear crazy
but craziness is no less true
than senses depicting what’s real

Plant Kingdom

May 3, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

if seeds spoke,
they’d say to earth…

open up
and offer me room
I will not only show you life
but give it
I will die and be reborn
the cycle of life revealed in me
you will carry nurture and sustain me
until the universe demands my arrival
and upon my apotheosis
we shall establish a world together
built from the kingdom of our heart’s desires

can you ever fall out
if you never truly grasped the concept
to fall in?

Stolen Identity

darkness is misunderstood
it was the first light
that which only knew unity.
and the light thereafter
was for the blind
those who only understood separation.
