Compelling You to Life

April 11, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

and death is impossible
it isn’t real
neither the devil
nor hell
but what seems to be real
is the fear of living
to which would conjure a question,
“are you?”

Time and Space

April 11, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

and how does one
silence the noises
and contemplate on
that which always was
and will always be
even before
there was a time
that time could call
time,
when perceivable sound
threatens serenity
with a harmonic allure
of distraction
found by the cadence
of noise absorbed outside?

and still I dance!
equally mystified
and blind,
but apprehensive
and hopeful
able to see
and experience all
there is to desire
for I know
there to be an
eternal wonder
but a silence a way
full of answers
when I am ready
to come back inside

Life Philosophy

April 11, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

life without a methodology
is not life
nor is any life philosophy which comes from idea
the philosophy of life is written in nature
contemplating on which is the door to that which evades us
including myself
this philosophy is also written within us
expressed externally in nature
nature mirrors what’s innermost
but a mind of ideas,
loves its ideas
and an idea is not life
nor philosophy
it is a child spawn of relativity
one who cries incessantly from an unquenchable desire for attention
an absolute parenting conundrum
because the very solution
is in the formula
but the formula is seen as the problem
or just plain unseen
because the cries are too loud
so focus on life is lost
and its message, unheard

“A” is for Abstractions- Synonym for Detachment

April 10, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

this world
this blessed world
is a chaotic and neurotic world
is full of distractions!
and …
well, so I am
as well
I am even one of them
or many
this world, and I
this world of mine
this world, is mine
so I shall go inside
and quiet my world
bringing order to chaos
and discipline to distractions

lo, I was born from a “syn”-
nonym of detachment
don’t give me a break
fore the way of true grade
deserves an “A”
for abstractions

And This They Called Magic

April 9, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

methodology of a prodigy

observe-
consciously,
then
reflect
contemplate
discern
then discern discernment
results:
insight
foresight

these actions
gave us masters
sages
prophets
leaders
revolutionaries
and martyrs

today,
this would make you crazy
blasphemous
persecuted
shunned
and shamed into oblivion

history is a revolving door and dead-end
for the blind
but a path and instructions
for the seekers

for king Solomon prayed solely for wisdom
and wisdom he got
and depressed
he became

when the mundane
is everything
the real
is extraordinary

what is possible for us all
looks like magic
for the few
a magic for truth
used and abused
to keep the many
under the few
filling up voting booths
and church pews

until poof!

read into this what you will
it’s all just hocus pocus

Freedom to Be

April 9, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

in a world swiftly taking more
than it is giving back
I can at least allow for
you to have a sense of that
