Made for two

November 9, 2020 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

I said I miss her
I heard she missed me too
impossible bullseye;
feeling kiddish
days you missed being young
experiencing first times;
ode to clichés in needed distance
I’m more fond
I pray she is;
knew what was lost
figured I’d deal
but she is extra-ordinary… I am sheepish;
baaaaaaad choices
when patience is an option
some things shouldn’t be controlled;
unclear air now polluted
inhaling your own toxins
will take its toll;
needed the window re-opened
or the blinds shut
I just needed to know;
mourned its open casket
dreaded what now lay lifeless
but I hope a greeting, is all it needed to grow;
I made my move
she’d make me move
but love is what we’re made to do;
answers are made for y’s
crossed t’s and dotted lines
plus U and an I was made for two;
