Attracted to you

November 9, 2020 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

Full and luscious lips-cherry black as her African roots
defined neckline
graced from a symmetrical jawline
connecting a scrumptious chin travelling thru
hair interweaved and tied up upon your head like a basket of fruits
watching you walk past brings me back to my youth
you raw and real, you an extravagant truth
your mentality makes you established
confidence built better than average
and still you rise, despite all that’s happened to you
purpose in every second, time is accident proof
every moment is magic
just imagine, and poof!
If you open the door
I’ll conquer your floor
and go after your roof
I’ll keep you on your tip toes as if you’re tapping your shoes
if you searching for completion, just add me to you
and allow gravity to do the things that gravity do
I don’t mean to be graphic
I just grapple with gradual truths
the way your spirit sings out, I think I see Gladys in you
even behind your glasses
you’re like a lioness in tall grass
you’re wine in a tall glass
you kinda rash
I love peeking at your raw nature, don’t change,
because I’m glad this is you
I rather grab at your attention, then grasping at straws
if lust is war, casual casualties aren’t collateral-
when our needs are compatible boo
how can I be vegan?
When you leaner than any meat that I’ve eaten!
Pardon my French when I speak it
but damn! I gotta be dramatic with you
opposites can’t be the only attachment
because you’re my magnet
and we’re the same status
so it has to be something more than infatuation that has me attracted to you
