Angles of Understanding

April 11, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

sometimes you have to lie…
down,
so you can understand
the forces above
and
below you
then you can understand
on what
where
and why
you stand

Words of Affirmation

April 11, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

though affirmation
can only be
the plaything
of one’s ego
when it is the ego
needing to affirm
its memory of
and connection to
the Divine-
its mother
which needs no
affirmation of her Self
from a child
but nevertheless
it is quite powerful
an experience
so I can understand
the tantrums thrown
when such a gift
goes un-given
because afterall
power,
is the true aim
of the ego
and it can only submit
to one greater than
its own
but memory
can be tricky
when distraction
has become subterfuge
for it is true that
love languages
and the love of language
are directions spawn
of this world
for power
can be the only hope
for the worldly
all said…
it still feels so Good,
to be affirmed!

Kingdoms

animal,
that I am

ignorantly
I once feared this

yet I understand now,
you were right

unintentionally, of course
but there is more

so I find joy
in this revelation

because of a truth
more wholesome

for I have discovered
something more purposeful

I am also mineral,
plant, human and divine being

the longer one lives
in their delusions
truth
takes the appearance
of hate

Compelling You to Life

April 11, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

and death is impossible
it isn’t real
neither the devil
nor hell
but what seems to be real
is the fear of living
to which would conjure a question,
“are you?”

Time and Space

April 11, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

and how does one
silence the noises
and contemplate on
that which always was
and will always be
even before
there was a time
that time could call
time,
when perceivable sound
threatens serenity
with a harmonic allure
of distraction
found by the cadence
of noise absorbed outside?

and still I dance!
equally mystified
and blind,
but apprehensive
and hopeful
able to see
and experience all
there is to desire
for I know
there to be an
eternal wonder
but a silence a way
full of answers
when I am ready
to come back inside
