Russell Wardlow

Phenomenologist

phenomenon
is only the reaction
or interruption
of what already is
I am what you see
though I am not
what you yet get
this makes me
phenomenal
but only in signature
direction impression from expression
not relative emotion
to which trivial discernment originates
although everything has an emotional signature
and that’s a matter of phenomenology

Family Feuds

I’m only affected by you
because I identify with you
at someplace in my being
I can only be impacted
by that which nature
mirrors as my own origin
yet I still allow you-
who has forgotten theirs
to affect me
because I’m still insecure enough
to desire to relate and identify without keen measure
matters of relativity
but you can’t pick your relatives…I think?

recognition,
identification unlocks the mind
if one continues over-peering in the mirror
they’ll lose sight of themselves
for the lost seek reflections for their identity
the very thing which alludes unfocused eyes

there is no title
nor genre
for awakening
like creation, it just Is
what is not
needs trivial tools for identification
losing the essence

everybody is waiting

Will and Choice

May 3, 2022 by Russell Wardlow Leave a Comment

my growth
doesn’t mean your growth
your growth doesn’t mean I grow
but we can both be
an example of growth
for one another
now all that’s left
is will and choice
